VerticalAI docs

Introduction

Documentation for VerticalAI, the inbound voice agent platform.

VerticalAI is an inbound voice agent platform. You build a voice agent, give it a system prompt and a set of tools, test it, publish it, and point a phone number at it. When someone calls, the agent answers, runs your instructions and tools, and handles the conversation.

A workspace can hold as many agents as you need, and there is nothing to wire up by hand. You describe who an agent is and what it can do; the agent decides what to say and when to use a tool.

Where to start

If this is your first agent, read the getting started guide. It walks the full path from creating an account to receiving a live call on a real number, written for a call-centre manager, no coding required.

What lives here

  • Getting started: the zero-to-live operator journey, end to end.
  • Guides: task-focused walkthroughs for building, testing, and tuning your agent.
  • API reference: the surface for programmatic access.

How calls are billed

VerticalAI is pay-as-you-go. New workspaces start with free credits and no card on file. You are charged per minute of audio, counted from when the caller connects to when they hang up, at a rate set by the agent's model tier (from 25 credits, A$0.25, per minute). The full breakdown lives in your workspace under Plan & usage.
